This is the year for a deep dive into your imagination, your memory, the powerful stories only you can tell. Craft class gives you models and prompts that connect you to your reader-self, the one who knows everything about the rhythm and pulse of story, the one who gets lost in the pages of a book, who invests in character, who feels deeply the suffering and triumphs of others. Bring that reader power to your writing, get onto the page and create the kinds of stories you need to survive, to transform yourself and the world. This is a generative writing class in excellent company that will create space for you to do your best writing. It’s part magic and part sweat--the kind that doesn’t always happen unless you have a time and place for it in your regular life. And these days, when life is far from regular, craft classes are adventures of the spirit that, even as we hunker down and get through, have kept us laughing and breathing and expanding our horizons. All lessons are recorded and come with handouts available ahead of time, as well as alternate exercises to try on your own or with your classmates on the weeks we don’t meet with Elizabeth. Zoom is made available to you for alternate week meetings.
