Tomorrow–Thursday, June 3, 2010, we will open to doors to the Book Writing World to the public for the first time ever. Forget your $20,000/ year (or semester) grad school (even if you’ve already graduated) and get the kind of support and inspiration most writers only dream about. I don’t actually like to toot my own horn, but I’m really excited by what we’ve built—I guess it’s my own personal field of dreams. I built a site, a community, with what I know a writer needs, because I need it, too! And already members have made this community as dynamic and engaging as I hoped it could be.
Don’t misunderstand. I poured my heart and soul into building a curriculum to match that community, one I believe is the most practical and “get it done” out of any other program I have seen—and I have an MFA from Columbia. From the weekly goal setting to the hour-long coaching calls to dynamite mini-lectures and assignments that will get your book planned, written, revised and out into the world, from private Q & A’s with published authors and other industry professionals to community forums, this is the place to launch or re-launch your writing career.
Finish your book this year. Come on, I dare you. Classes start the week of June 13.
We are so excited that during our “grand opening” (cue balloons and marching bands…) for ONE WEEK, from Thursday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 9, we are going to offer some bonuses I’m really proud of . . . The first ten people to sign up will also win a FREE spot in a weekend-long writing retreat and plot-and-character workshop in Northern California led by me, Elizabeth Stark, (airfare and lodging not included) worth $350! The first 20 people to sign up will also receive a webinar with Angie Powers—who makes all the BWW’s videos and built the site—on the no-sweat way to create your own book trailer.
And I’m working on a couple of other bonuses that I have under my hat right now, but suffice to say, I want this thing to be the most satisfying writing experience you ever have.
We’ll go live at noon on Thursday, June 3, and I’ll be sending the link first to my mailing list, so get your name on it–look to the right of this blog for the form–and be ready to say yes to your book!
Would love to do the weekend workshop, Elizabeth!
Congratulations!
