From Elizabeth: Devi Laskar is a journalist, fiction writer and poet who is also a long-standing member of the Book Writing World. Devi and I earned our MFAs together at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, although it was Devi’s second Master’s degree and only my first. For the month of November, having done NaNoWriMo three times, Devi has decided to write a poem a day. She’s already been doing an art project a day for the past months. I’ve asked her to blog these daily poems and art at the Book Writing World. She will also be taking over as editor of the Book Writing World blog, and we hope to gain consistency and feature more of the talented Book Writing World members in the coming weeks. I am excited to have the talents of Devi officially on board at the Book Writing World.
