The momentum course–all three episodes–takes a total of a half hour to go through. Maybe a little longer if you really stop and do the exercises–which I recommend, since they have the power to propel your writing forward dramatically. Drawing on NLP, hypnosis and the best work available on achieving goals and success, as well as her own practices in driving her screenwriting forward, Angie Powers here offers us a succint series of tools to catapult us to a productive writing life. These exercises sink into your unconscious and fuel your daily practice. So if you need, as one respondant to my survey mentioned, a “giant kick in the ass,” here’s one that will leave no bruises.
Start with Episode One or Episode Two or just jump in here. And then please let us know what you think in the comments below!
Thank you for the fun reminders for sitting down to write and to keep it going! Woo-hoo, now we get to be writing superheros!
I think the tools were very good: gave a framework, an articulation for all that unspoken need, desire, fear, etc. I like the concreteness. I especially liked #3, it brought some things into focus. Nice, Angie. Also, I love your football commentary voice. It’s sharp. Can we hear it again?
