Publishing, Promoting, Platform

A writer is not just a creative person who sits and invents or describes. A writer is also, in essence, a small business owner or a cottage industry. Lament the distraction or embrace the conversation!

This course will get you started building your social network and the platform for your book. You will develop a dynamite query letter, a book proposal if that’s appropriate, a list of prospective agents and publishers and a plan for publishing and promoting your book. You will also enact that plan in this course with encouragement and support (and yes, deadlines) from the community. This course is about success!

This course will meet on the second Sunday of each month (subject to change) and will cover the topics listed above, one at a time. You are encouraged to join this course as soon as you join the Book Writing World in order to build a platform over time and to overcome fear about the business side of writing.
