Transformation: A Writing Retreat in Provence

What if you could whisk away to the South of France for a week of writing, exploration, and relaxation in excellent, creative company, guided and inspired by two beloved writing teachers and story makers…and change your life? Doesn’t that sound like a story in a delicious book? That’s because story is about transformation. During this real-life adventure, you will deepen the transformative powers of your story—and transform your relationship to your writing practice and your creative life…

“The retreat was the perfect mix of classes and questions that challenged me to delve deep into my characters and loads of free time to actually make progress and do that deep writing work. It exceeded my expectations.”  — Diana Densmore

“This was a life-changing and life-affirming experience, in terms of writing, exploration, and support. The respectful combination of morning writing time, afternoon class, and evening leisure (or more writing) worked wonderfully for me. I was able to be productive, then receive a lesson, and finally apply it. And [the location was] simply gorgeous: Atmospheric. Relaxing. Inspiring. I never felt as if I were wanting for anything.” — Megan McDonald

“I had very high expectations from my retreat in France and I have to say that they were completely exceeded. Surrounding myself with such beauty and taking the time to think and talk about my writing, it felt like my creativity rose up. I told a better story than I thought I could. It was exhilarating. … It was so luxurious to have someone making lunch and dinner, that was a big support for writing. And I thought every meal was fantastic. I loved that the dishes used local, in-season ingredients, and they were super flavorful and satisfying and healthful. Also it was delightful to have croissants delivered every other morning!” — Lisa Taggart
