Summer Writing Boot Camps: Finish a Whole Chapter or Story in a Week!

Meet every morning or afternoon for five days in a row.  Here’s what the time will look like: We’ll do a laser coaching check in, set immediate goals, I’ll give you examples and exercises to march you through from beginning, build, middle, climax and ending of an entire story or chapter, day by day, and then you’d actually write in community, online via Google Hangouts. It’s the b*tt in chair workout. We’ll have a midpoint inspiration boost and a group check out, plus I’ll be available for coaching-by-chat if you get stuck. If you’ve ever been to an online writing retreat, you know the magic of being in your own writing space with a group of warm, supportive, productive writing partners and a coach. Daily writing provides its own momentum. This one will also have the craft-class frame to deliver an entire story or chapter by the end of the week. Recordings of any classes you miss will be available.

The details:

  • $250/ week or only $470 for both weeks.
  • Limited to 9 participants

What Students Are Saying:

“I love the human interaction of craft class, and the inspiration I get from my classmates’  writing. Elizabeth is gentle but diligent about getting writers to set goals and deadlines. Most valuable may be the way she not only singles out some of her favorite passages to spark your own sentences, but how she teaches those passages, breaking down the structure, pinpointing what makes it work and forcing us to try perspectives we haven’t thought of. Elizabeth’s constructive feedback is terrific and the whole class serves as a way to flex new writing muscles.” Maureen Fan

“Post MFA, I was looking for a master craft class to  explore subtleties of technique, provide

the kind of inspiration and awe that only great literature brings, as well as a cohort of skilled readers.  I found it all at the BWW Craft Class.” Susan Sasson
